Hello! My name is Saumitra Saravana. I have been a Dentist for over 13 years. After practicing Dentistry in India, I came to the U.S and pursued additional training at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA. It has been my priority to be the best Dentist I could be. I did this by staying current with all the developments in the field and have consistently focused on improving my skills. In my "Dental Journey", I was fortunate in having many experienced practitioners act as my mentors. As a mark of my training and accomplishments, I was awarded Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry (F.A.G.D) in 2011.

 

I love seeing children and I am happy to help with most of your child’s Dental needs. At the same time, I can help with most procedures like Wisdom teeth removal, Root Canal Treatment, Extractions, Dentures and Cosmetic Dentistry with convenient after school and weekend hours. I’m an FAGD dentist! What does that mean for you and your family?

FAGD stands for Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Earning Fellowship takes dedication to dental continuing education (CE) beyond graduation. Only about 6 percent of general dentists in the U.S. and Canada are AGD Fellows. When you see a dentist with FAGD after their name, you can rest assured that they care about knowing the latest techniques and best practices in dentistry. AGD Fellows practice these techniques in a classroom setting multiple times a year — not every dentist does this.

 

To become an AGD Fellow, a dentist must:

Complete over 500 credit hours of CE.

Earn 350 of those 500 credits in live courses.

Pass an exam equal in difficulty to board certification exams.
